| Actress: Twilight’s Kristen Stewart
Calling all Kristen Stewart fans!
Most people know Kristen Stewart at Bella Swan, from the Twilight Movie Series by Stephanie Meyers. She’s catapulted into popularity in the past year thanks to the success of the books and movies, but her career started years ago when she was still in elementary school.
Kristen Stewart was born in Los Angeles, California on April 9, 1990. His mother worked as a script supervisor while her dad was a TV producer. She only went to school until junior high – seventh grade, to be exact. Eventually, she earned her high school diploma through correspondence courses. That was a smart move!
While acting in a school play at the age of 8, Kristen was spotted by an agent and began going on auditions. She first had a non-speaking part in the movie The Thirteenth Year. Movies that followed included 2000’s The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas, 2002’s Panic Room with Jodie Foster, 2005’s Zathura, and 2007’s Into the Wild with Sean Penn. She’ll soon star as legendary rock star Joan Jett in the upcoming film Runaways.
In 2008 Kristen played the lead female role of Bella Swan in the Twilight series. She falls in love with a vampire in a teenage love story that now has fans everywhere devouring the books. Chances are you (or even your mom!) have picked up a copy. Kristen has already filmed the second movie in the series, New Moon, and is finishing the third, Eclipse.
“I want to go to college for literature. I want to be a writer. I mean, I love what I do, but it’s not all I want to do…,” Kristen says. Good thing her talents go beyond acting – this mega-star can also sing and play the guitar. No doubt about it, her career will last longer than “twilight”!

- At the 2009 MTV Movie Awards she dropped her statue on stage, showing how similar she is to her character Bella!
- She was in a commercial for Porsche in 2002.
- She read Twilight AFTER getting the part of Bella.
- Kristen’s eyes are actually green, but she has to wear brown contacts to play the part of Bella.
